Visitor TV, Ireland's tourism internet television network, will make its debut on the World Wide Web next month, promoting Ireland as a short-break and holiday destination to consumers nationally and internationally. The network, which is being launched, has already aired on televisions in more than 2,500 hotel rooms across counties Limerick and Kerry and is now about to embark on a recruitment drive to fill 12 jobs in digital media production and sales.
To mark its launch, Visitor TV is offering 250 Irish visitor attractions the opportunity to create a 30-second high definition video free-of-charge which will be included on Visitor TV's video library of the 250 top things to do in Ireland for 12 months.
According to managing director David Hughes, Visitor TV was initially envisaged as a hotel in-room television channel targeted at tourists already in Ireland who were looking for inspiration around things to do near each hotel.
Visitor attractions in Ireland who would like to apply for one of the 250 professional videos and to be included in the library of top 250 things to do in Ireland should register online at www.visitortv.ie.
